I hold a Ph.D. in civil engineering. I a have bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s in Geodesy Engineering and Cartography. My current research with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) focuses on geospatial technologies and their usage to perform road safety analyses, specifically sight distance estimations on existing roads with particular attention to vulnerable road users (e.g. e-scooter and e-bike users, cyclists, pedestrians, etc.).
My research with Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo (UASD) reviews the advantages that volunteered geographic information (VGI) could bring to many mobility challenges faced by developing countries.

Teaching

I am a road design teaching collaborator within the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos (UPM); In addition, I teach Cartography and geographic information systems (GIS) at UASD.

Projects

I am collaborating with TEGEOSEV. A Project funded by the Spanish Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) aimed at road safety evaluations.
Co-founder of "Tu Yaque". A project aimed at enabling digital platforms to report wrongdoings in the Yaque del Norte basin (Dominican Republic.)
